Cloudpath can detect whether or not wireless is restricted to a particular phy type.
Supported settings include:
Any - Default. When selected, the system will use any phy type available to attach to the SSID.
A Only - When selected, the system will only use phy type A to attach to the SSID.
B Only - When selected, the system will only use phy type B to attach to the SSID.
G Only - When selected, the system will only use phy type G to attach to the SSID.
A or G Only - When selected, the system will only use phy type A or G to attach to the SSID.
B or G Only - When selected, the system will only use phy type B or G to attach to the SSID.
A or B Only - When selected, the system will only use phy type A or B to attach to the SSID.
N else G/B - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type N if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use both G and/or B.
N else G else B - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type N if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to only use G if supported. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use only B.
N or G - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type N or G if the network card supports it.
A else N else G else B - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type A if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use only N if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use only G if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use only B.
A else N else G/B - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type A if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use only N if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use G and/or B.
A else N/G/B - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type A if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use N and/or G and/or B.
A else G else B - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type A if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use only G if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use only B.
N Only - When selected, the system will only use phy type N to attach to the SSID.
N else A/G - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type N if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use both A and/or G.
A else N else G - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type A if the network card supports it. Otherwise, the system will be configured to use N if the network card supports it. Else, the system will be configured to use G.
N else G - When selected, the system will be configured to only use phy type of N if available, otherwise G. If the NIC does not support N or G, the user will receive a protocol-not-supported message.
Cloudpath is able to auto remediate this setting. By default, Windows Vista and greater will not restrict the phy type.
