PEAP TLS Configuration

Name:

PEAP/TLS Use different user name

Description:

Controls whether the user name used for authentication. It can be pulled from the certificate or the end-user can be prompted.

Values:

Use my smart card
Client certificate for authentication will come from smart card.
Use a certificate on this computer
Client certificate for authentication will come from the client's certificate store.

Default Value:

Use a certificate on this computer

Recommended Setting:

If you have a smart card, use Use my smart card.

Cloudpath Help :

Cloudpath can detect the status of the 'Use Different User Name' setting within the PEAP/TLS configuration.

Supported settings include:

Disabled - Default. When selected, Windows use a certificate that contains the logged in user's name.

Enabled - When selected, Windows will prompt the user to select a certificate.

Cloudpath is able to auto remediate this setting.
By default, Windows XP will disable this when PEAP/TLS is selected.
