Name:

IP by DHCP

Description:

Controls the manner in which Windows determines its IP address.

Values:

Obtain an IP address automatically
Windows will retrieve an IP address by DHCP.
Use the following IP address
Windows will use the statically defined IP address.

Default Value:

Obtain an IP address automatically

Recommended Setting:

Obtain an IP address automatically

Cloudpath Help :

Cloudpath can detect the state of DHCP related to the IP address.

Supported settings include:

Obtain IP address automatically - Default. When selected, the IP address will be retrieved using DHCP.

If the user is changed from static to DHCP, a revert will properly set the machine's static IP address.
Cloudpath is able to auto remediate this setting.
